Verdict – Auto DM may equal Twitter suicide
It’s Official—No One Likes Twitter Auto DM’s
Dear Crissy blogs about the unsavory effect auto DM’s have on fellow tweeters. A poll taken and the verdict is in… no one appreciates them. Over the last year or so that I’ve tried to stay current and relevant on Twitter. It’s no easy feat! How do all these people find enough time in the day to live in the now and still keep up with what’s happening in the world via Twitter? I admittedly have used these “despised” auto DM’s, I’m ashamed, believe me. According to the tweeters responding to Dear Crissy I’ve been committing Twitter suicide and didn’t realize I have lost the respect of my new found followers. Although I’m assuming not pushing your website or agenda at people via these DM’s may be acceptable to some (me, I don’t mind an auto “Hello, thanks for the follow”). So be forewarned, auto DM’s are not looked upon kindly, attempt it at your own risk.
Good luck fellow Tweeters and Social Networking Mavens.
